What is the Be U Program?
The Be U program is a spend-based loyalty program supported by the diverse brands under the Beside Group. By joining, free of charge, you can earn and spend Points at participating brands and select partners. There are 3 Tiers under the Be U Rewards program and each gives you access to exclusive benefits.
How can I join Be U?
You can join the program by downloading the Be U Rewards App on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and signing in on the App in order to be considered a member, earning Points and receiving communication from the Program.
OR Enrolment can also be done by providing your mobile number at any of our participating stores, allowing you to earn for the current transaction. However, you will have 4 days from the transaction date to download the Be U Rewards App, if you have not downloaded the app within this time all Points will be lost and your account will be deactivated.
Can anyone join Be U?
Only persons aged 16 years and above can participate in the Program, as on the day of application. The only exceptions apply to corporate, association or group accounts and employees of the Beside Group.
Do you communicate in other languages?
Currently, we communicate in English and Arabic. You can choose your preferred language by going to the Be U Rewards App.
Will I receive a Be U membership card?
Yes. You will receive a virtual membership card instantly when you download the Be U Rewards App.
What are Points?
Points are the currency of the Be U Rewards program and can be earned and spent at Beside participating stores and select partners.
Points are earned when you purchase products from Beside participating stores (the “Transaction”)
Points are also awarded on your birthday, when you link your social accounts to Be U, and when you link your step counter to the Be U Rewards App. These Points are redeemable only if at least one transaction is made at any participating store
How are my Points calculated?
Points are calculated after deduction of any applicable taxes, based on an eligible amount spent at any of the participating stores. The calculations vary by Tier and preferred country chosen at time of enrolment.
How can I earn Points?
To ensure you earn Points you must show your virtual card on your Be U Rewards App or provide a registered mobile number at any of the participating stores at the time of purchase. Failure to do so will result in non-crediting of Points.
Other ways of earning Points are: (Terms & Conditions apply)
100 Bonus Points awarded on your birthday if you are a White Tier member and complete at least one transaction during the month of your birthday.
150 Bonus Points awarded on your birthday if you are a Gold Tier member.
300 Bonus Points awarded on your birthday if you are a Black Tier member.
10 Bonus Points awarded for linking your Social accounts to your Be U membership account.
1 Bonus Point for every 10,000 steps recorded in the Be U Rewards App step counter per month (up to a maximum of 20 Points a month).
Do I earn Points during Sales and at Outlets?

Do my Points expire?
Your Points will expire in 24 months from the month of earning. Points expire at the end of each quarter. E.g. Points earned in January 2023 will expire on 31st March 2025.
You will also receive communications in advance informing you of any Points that are due to expire.
Can I earn Points for purchases made prior to my enrolment in the Be U program?
No. You can only earn Points after you have enrolled in the program.
How do I claim missing Points?
You will be required to email your request to [email protected] along with a clear scanned copy of your valid receipt and your Membership Number. Claims for transactions must be made 30 days retroactively and restricted to one transaction per member, per month.
Why was my membership account not updated with Points I just earned?
Points are credited to your membership account 3 days after you have made a purchase.
If your Points have not been added to your account after 3 days, please send a clear scanned copy of your receipt along with your Membership Number to [email protected] Our team will validate the transaction and add any eligible Points which have not been credited to your account.
Claims for transactions must be made 30 days retroactively and restricted to one transaction per member, per month.
Can I earn Points on someone else’s transaction?
You can earn Points for eligible transactions if they are paid by you and you present your virtual card on your Be U Rewards App or quote your registered mobile number at time of purchase.
Do I earn Points on purchases made with my Beside Group Gift Voucher?
Yes, you can earn Points when purchasing a Beside Group Gift Voucher as well as on transactions made using your Beside Group Gift Voucher.
What does a tier mean?
A tier status is the level of the program you have earned through the required spend thresholds. The tier status provides you with exclusive and elevated benefits based on how much you spend at participating stores.
How many tier levels does the Be U Rewards program have?
Be U is a three-tiered program, with the base tier starting at White, followed by Gold and Black.
How is a tier status calculated?
All new members are automatically enrolled in the program at the White level upon profile creation. A member may be granted a tier upgrade depending on the amount spent at participating stores in any consecutive 12-month period.
Members of the White Tier can also be upgraded to the Black Tier in one single transaction if they spend the required amount as per the table noted here.
How can I avail my membership tier benefits?
To avail your tier specific benefits, please make sure to present your virtual card on your Be U Rewards App at participating stores and select partners.
I am a higher tier Be U member, can I use my higher tier benefits and combine them with other promotions, offers or programs?
No, you cannot combine your tier discounts or benefits in conjunction with any other promotions or offers.
How can I earn and maintain a higher tier status?
As a member, your tier status is valid for a period of 12 months and will depend on your spend over a rolling 12 month period. In any given 12-month period if you achieve the required spend to move to the next tier level you will be moved up and maintain that tier for a 12-month period.
Does my higher tier membership have a lifetime validity?
No, all higher tiers, namely Gold, and Black are valid for a period of 12 months only starting from the date of your upgrade.
Can I pay to be upgraded to a higher Tier?
We currently do not offer this option.
Can my tier status be downgraded?
Yes. A higher tier is valid for a period of 12 months from being awarded the tier. Your tier will be recalculated at the end of 12 months and you will be moved to the revised tier depending on your spend.
What can I redeem my Points for?
You can redeem your Points against any eligible spend at Beside participating stores or qualified partners. Please download the Be U App and click on ‘redeem’ to see a full list.
Can I purchase additional Points from Be U or from another member of the loyalty program in case I am short of Points?
No. Be U does not allow for the purchase of Points at this stage. Redemptions can only be done via a single member account; it is not possible to combine multiple account balances for a redemption.
How can I redeem Points?
Once you have Points to redeem you may use your virtual card on your Be U Rewards App to redeem your Points at participating stores or qualified partners. It is mandatory that you download the Be U App and present it when in-store, in order to redeem your Points.
Is it possible to redeem using the part Points and part cash / card payment method?
Yes. You can choose to use part of your Points and use cash / card for the balance at any Beside participating stores only. What’s more, you will earn further Points on the amount paid by cash / debit card / credit card after deduction of taxes, service charges and other non-eligible earning charges.
Will I earn Points on a redemption transaction?
No, however you can earn Points on the cash / debit card / credit card payment of the reward transaction after deduction of taxes, service charges and other non-eligible earning charges.
Can I use my Points to pay for someone else’s transaction?
You can use your Points to pay for someone else’s transaction. However, this will need to be done in your presence by presenting your virtual card on your Be U Rewards App.
Do Blackout dates apply on redemption?
No, blackout dates do not apply on redemptions unless specifically stated.
I made a partner redemption and did not use it, can I cancel it and get my Points refunded?
Once a redemption has been processed using your Points, this cannot be refunded.
Is it possible to earn Points and redeem them instantly?
Your Points will be credited into your account and be available for redemption after 3 days of your purchase date. Once you have Points to redeem you may use your virtual card on your Be U Rewards App to redeem your Points at participating stores or qualified partners. It is mandatory that you download the Be U App and present it when in-store, in order to redeem your Points.
I bought an item in a store using my Points, and returned the item. Will I get my Points refunded?
Yes, your Points will be refunded in line with the store refund policy.
I bought a Beside Group Gift Voucher and I didn’t use it, can I cancel it and get my Points refunded?
Once a redemption for a Gift Voucher has been processed using your Points, this cannot be refunded.
How can I update the personal details in my Be U account?
Can I use my account to check my Points statement?
Yes. You can check your Be U account activity, history of transactions and Points balance on the Be U Rewards App.
Will I be notified about Points that are about to expire?
Yes. You will be advised when your Points for the current quarter are due to expire via our communications. Please ensure your contact details are up to date.
Can I have more than one membership account under my name and mobile number?
No. You are allowed to have only one membership account under your name and this will be linked to one mobile number.
What if I return an item that I purchased at a participating store and earned Points?
Your Points will be deducted upon the return of goods for a cash / debit card / credit card refund.
Can I earn, redeem and get access to benefits of multiple programs?
No, you will be able to choose and benefit from only one loyalty program and cannot use two or more programs in conjunction to earn Points, redeem Points and get access to benefits.
Does Be U Rewards program allow family membership?
We currently do not offer this option.
What qualifies as an eligible charge or eligible spend?
An eligible charge or eligible spend is defined as the total spend after deduction of taxes. You can only earn and redeem Points as a registered member on eligible spend at participating stores. You cannot earn on government taxes, or other taxes.
Do I receive Points on purchases made with my Beside Group Gift Voucher?
Yes, you can earn Points on transactions made with your Beside Group Gift Voucher.
Can Be U Rewards program Terms and Conditions change?
The program owner, Beside Group, reserves the right to change, modify or cancel Terms and Conditions linked to the program without notice. You will be informed of the same when applicable. However, it is your responsibility as a member to keep yourself updated about program rules and Terms and Conditions.
Can I terminate my Be U Rewards program membership?
If you want to cancel an existing membership, you will need to provide a written notification of cancellation to [email protected]. Upon receipt, the Be U customer service team will terminate the membership by deducting all Points. Members will not be able to avail of any service benefits offered by the Be U program post termination.
Can Be U Rewards program terminate my membership?
Yes, the Be U program can terminate your membership if you do not operate as per the specified program Terms and Conditions or indulge in any fraudulent activity. For more information, please click here to review the program Terms and Conditions.
